4H Camp Wedding | Lake Tahoe

Ashley and Jon’s 4H Camp Wedding in South Lake Tahoe was truly perfect. From the venue, to the weather, to the food, the people, every moment was special. Every detail was thought of. Every emotion was so real and so raw.

Early October in Tahoe is pure magic. The crisp mountain air, the way the sunlight filters through the trees, and the golden hues that paint the meadow at sunset—it’s the kind of setting that makes my photographer heart burst. And this venue? A dream. You get the lake, the woods, and the most unreal golden hour glow all in one place. My absolute favorite in Tahoe!

This wedding wasn’t just planned—it was crafted with love.

From the cake, baked by a dear friend, to the custom cuff links that held special meaning, everything had a personal touch. It wasn’t about over-the-top decor or grandeur; it was about them—their story, their people, and their love.

And let’s talk about the vows. They knew they wouldn’t make it through the ceremony without completely breaking down, so they chose to share private vows beforehand. Just the two of them, tucked away in the trees, letting their emotions pour out without an audience. It was raw, real, and absolutely beautiful.

The rest of the day? Pure joy. Laughter echoing through the tall pines, heartfelt toasts that had everyone crying and laughing in the same breath, and a dance floor that never slowed down. It was a wedding where you could feel the love radiating from every person there—where family and friends weren’t just witnesses to their love, but active participants in it.

And as the sun dipped behind the mountains, we snuck out for golden hour photos in the meadow. The light was unreal. One of those moments where time slows down, and everything just feels right. Definitely one of the best golden hours I’ve ever seen.

This 4H Camp wedding wasn’t just about a beautiful setting or stunning details (though, trust me, there were plenty). It was about love. The kind of love that wraps around you and pulls you in. And being able to capture that was just the cherry on top.
